WHAT WE DO
This is our third church building since this congregation was established on June 7, 1903. We are currently planning a building addition and renovations including full handicap accessibility. In the meantime, a chair-lift is available.
When you come to St. Paul's United Church of Christ on Sunday mornings to worship, you will be greeted at the front door where we will welcome you and be happy to answer any questions you might have. Ushers will give you a program, also known as a bulletin, which will guide you through the worship service.
Children and youth are always welcome in worship each Sunday where our pastor also shares God's Word with them informally. We offer clip boards with crayons and papers to color (usually related to the central message of the sermon) for our littlest worshipers. As the children are able, they also participate in the Joy Bell Choir and by being acolytes (lighting and extinguishing the altar candles at the beginning and end of worship).
We celebrate two Sacraments within our worship service:
- Holy Baptism for infants, children, and adults. We also offer infant dedication for those families who prefer that their children make their own decision to be baptized.
- Holy Communion for any person, regardless of religious affiliation or age, seeking the presence, mercy, and grace of Christ. This is celebrated the second Sunday of the month and also on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter, Pentecost, World Wide Communion (first Sunday in October), and Christmas.

WHO WE ARE
Our story begins with our origins in the small community who followed Jesus 20 centuries ago and continuing to the present. We are rooted in the Reformation:
- A protest movement against the abuse of the authority by church leaders;
- The rediscovery by Luther and Calvin of the Bible's teaching that salvation is not earned, but is a gift;
- The epic journey of the Pilgrims from England to the shores of North America;
- The waves of emigration by German and Hungarian Protestants seeking spiritual and political freedom;
- The beginning of the first Christian anti-slavery movement in history;
- The 20th century movement to reunite the divided branches of Christ's church, and, as a result of that movement, the union of several traditions of Protestant Christianity into the United Church of Christ on June 24, 1957.

As a result, we respect many creeds and doctrines and from the beginning of our history, we were a church that affirmed the ideal that Christians did not always have to agree to live together in communion. Our motto: "that they may all be one" is Jesus' prayer for the unity of the church (John 17:22). The United Church of Christ is one of the most diverse Christian churches in the United States.
